After starting his career as a journalist for the fashion magazine Dazed and Confused, Damian Lazarus became A&R (in charge of discovering new artists and bands) for the City Rockers label, later acquired by the Ministry Of Sound empire. Gifted at unearthing new talent, he founded his own label Crosstown Rebels in 2003. In 2011, the electronic music webzine Resident Advisor named him label of the year. Damian Lazarus has been an ambassador for the British electro scene ever since.
